Protein consumption should be given special attention since older people tend to lose their taste for meat. There are other protein rich options available such as eggs, beans and peanut butter.

Calcium and Salt Intake. Seniors also need to enough amounts of calcium since it can also help a hypertensive condition. Calcium intake may help in lowering blood pressure the natural way.
