List of Illegal Drugs

Illegal drugs are, by definition, drugs that are prohibited for distribution, sale, and use. These are mostly non-prescription and psychoactive drugs. Here are some examples of illegal drugs.

Anabolic steroids – this is a performance enhancing drug used by athletes in order to have an unfair advantage in competition by bulking up physically.

Cannabis – marijuana, although legal and available in certain countries, is disallowed in most locations.

Psilocybin mushrooms – this is a hallucinogen drug found mostly in tropical and subtropical regions of the earth.

Opium/Heroin/Morphine – similar in chemical properties, these are used as an addictive drug that produces intense euphoria.

Methamphetamine – it is a psychostimulant, when prescribed, is used to treat attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder.

Benzodiazepines – this is a psychoactive drug considered as a minor tranquilizer with varying sedative and hypnotic effects.

MDMA – more commonly known as Ecstasy, it is a designer drug found mostly in rave parties.

Ketamina – an anesthetic for animals, it is consumed by humans as a hallucinogen.
