Kid's Eating Habits

With so many unhealthy foods out there all neatly packaged so they would look attractive, especially to kids. As adults, we know better than to eat some colorful thing that’s about 90% sugar. But how can we make our kids eat the right foods. Here are some things that can help you:

  • Set an example. If you want your kids to eat healthy, well-balanced diet then you should set the tone for them.
  • Serve a variety of foods. Though most off them will be ignored, your kids will get the idea that that there are other foods besides fried chicken. Thus, they will eventually learn that they can get nutrients from various sources.
  • Expose your kids to new and interesting foods. Remember to introduce them gradually and offer these foods more than once. They will eventually seem more familiar to your kids and eventually they’ll eat them.
  • Do not force a child to eat anything he/she does not want to it. It will cause your child to develop a negative association with those foods.
  • Get your child to eat vegetables. Vegetables are a natural part of a healthy and well-balanced diet. To make your kids eat vegetables just do the same things suggested above. Serve them regularly and in ways that they might, like say broccoli with cheese sauce. It is also important that they see you eating vegetables.

Eventually your kids your kids will learn what it is and what is not healthy for them, and will continue doing so until they are grown up.
