Trying to make sure to get the necessary amounts of these nutrients may help prevent one from experiencing back pain as a result of poor posture.
Regular smoking may also contribute to back pain. The nicotine may be to blame. It can restrict the blood flow in the discs that cushions the vertebrae, which can lead to injury and back pain. Nicotine also diminishes the body’s ability to absorb calcium, preventing the growth of new bones. This can further lead into a higher risk of osteoporotic fracture compared to non-smokers.
